Born in Auckland New Zealand, from British and Danish decent, Harry Hansen comes from a family of successful composers and musicians.

His Great Grandfather Alfred William Hansen was regularly commissioned to write for the Queen of England, while his Great Great Grandfather wrote many plays and symphonies in British colonial India in the late 1800's.

The son of Eddie Hansen, one of Australia and New Zealand's leading musicians and songwriters, Harry has been involved with music since childhood. Always drawn to orchestral and classical music, Harry learned to play many instruments including the Guitar, Cello and Piano.

At the age of 15, he began songwriting and playing electric guitar in a number of rock bands and by the age of 19 years, Harry had become a sought after music teacher. He is a gifted player of many musical instruments, including the Cello, Violin, Viola, Guitar and Piano.

At 21, he went on to follow his passion, composing orchestral scores. He spent the next 3 years training intensively under Eddie Hansen, after which he moved to the USA to start his career as a film and television composer.

Harry currently resides in the USA, where he is working full time as a composer for Film, Television, commercials and various internet projects, as well as vocal coaching and songwriting.
